“Feels Like We Only Go Backwards” was already my favorite song on the new Tame Impala album before I saw the internet-famous kids chorus at Staten Island’s P22 perform it, but now it’s reached a whole new level. Like everyone who has heard the song, the chorus didn’t have a whole lot of time to learn it before shooting this video, their excited director exclaiming at the end of the video that they “learned it today.”
The song is off the Australian psychedelic rock band’s second full-length Lonerism, which released Oct. 5.
