“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Doubt” and “Frost/Nixon” led the way with five nominations each for the 66th Golden Globe awards announced today on the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Web site.
Early Oscar favorite, “Slumdog Millionaire,” received a nod for best drama, best director (Danny Boyle), best original score and best screenplay. Bruce Springsteen’s song and Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei’s hyped actor and supporting actress performances in Daren Aronofsky’s “The Wrestler” also received nods.
“In Treatment” and “Recount” led the way with five nominations each in the television categories.
The 2009 Golden Globe awards will air Jan. 11 on NBC.
