Hollywood is apparently so starved for ideas that even board game film adaptations no longer seem like such a bad idea.
According to Variety, Enchanted director Kevin Lima is attached to a live-action film version of the popular Hasbro board game based on a screenplay penned by Etan Cohen, the comic genius who wrote Idiocracy and Tropic Thunder.
Believe it or not, Candy Land isn’t the only board game movie in the works. Slash Film reported back in November that Ridley Scott was enthusiastically attached to a film adaptation of Monopoly.
What’s next? Scrabble? Battleship? Life? Hungry, Hungry Hippo?
