Back when I was still young (and privileged) enough to have my parents tote me around the country in a Dodge Spirit for weeks on end and pay for everything, my older brother and I made sport of jumping into photographs. Large groups of Koreans posing at Disney World was one of our favorite targets.
My brother still does this occasionally – he mostly strikes at precise Kodak moments in wedding receptions – but I’ve mostly retired from the sport.
And really, it isn’t really much of a sport anymore. Thanks to Photoshop I can jump into any photograph I want. Or insert a squirrel. Because really, who doesn’t want to see a collection of otherwise banal photos crashed by an adorable squirrel?
